Is it possible to start working for the New employer (After filing H1B Transfer and getting the receipt) when on a PTO with current employer? Is this Legal to do so?
If first option is NOT legal, then can i have a GAP of 3 days (without Pay) between current employer (Last date) and new employment start date?

You can work with the new employer while H1B is pending, for 240 days as far as I know. There is premium processing if H1B doesn't come on time.
3 days without pay is not a gap in employment if the employer-employee relationship is maintained. Don't worry too much. Even in normal circumstances, it takes a few days to relocate.

I was just thinking if it would help to gain more publicity if this site goes by a different name. On several instances while calling lawmakers or other people, the moment I mention immigrationvoice.org they think it is related to Illegal immigration / CIR etc. I need to stress that it is about legal immigration.
Even the flyers don't catch enough attention

It just means somebody touched the case. The case is still at NSC.

My PD is Feb 2004, so I've been current for almost 2 months now. Though, my ND is 9/12/2007 and NSC is processing 7/14/2007, so that's not current yet...

Here is my situation, someone please suggest me:
I am using EAD to work for my GC sponsoring company and I got laid off. My HR says that they are going to inform USCIS that I am no longer working for them. HR also says that they won’t cancel my approved I-140 and going to rehire me once I get the new project.
My question:
When I joined them there is information to USCIS.I just filled I-9 form and gave it to the company, no information to USCIS. Now when I got terminated what is the need for the company to inform this to USCIS? Anyhow I am going to join them once I get the new project in couple of months. Is it a new law? Will there be any problem at the POE if travel outside US and come back using AP? Is there any chance that USCIS sends me RFE?

If you are not on H1 there is no reason to inform the USCIS. Make sure that they are not including your I-140 receipt number or A#.
Actually informing that you do not have a job is sufficent to revoke your I-140.

If they do that assuming 500K people apply for premium they can generate over 2.5billion dollars. Add to that all the investment this 500K people will make once they get their GC. Like buyin houses and makin other investments. All this should be brought in front of people so that they see there is a big advantage for them in us getting GC's

When there are so much negative opinion, instead of chasing this avenue, let us all focus on what is tangible (such as connecting with media and building up public support). If by chance he goes against the legal immigration too, then we burn candle from both ends. The risk is not worth it.

I am not sure when the CIR will pass...its not on Nancy Pelosi aganda in forseeable future... and several people already mentioned that if it didnt pass by MAY07 then you are looking at Jan 09 to get immigration stuff to happen...
I think we need to work on an interm EB relief bill ...which is absolutely non contraversial and try to pass it....not worring about piggy backing the CIR...
Issues such as h1 increase or adding more numbers need not be in it...we can include things like EAD after I-140...spouse/childer not considered for EB quota...etc...
Unless we act desissively now...its going to be a long way to 2009..

They meet tons of other people every day and hear about many issues that are just as important to the others who meet them. So to convince them of the urgency, IMHO, we all must go to their offices and talk to them. That requires you to take some time off from your schedule. Many of us have already met lawmakers. Join your local chapter.

We are in exact same scenario, but was thinking that H4 holder has to enter using AP to continue to use EAD after "vacation" . So is it like, Use H4 for travel and EAD to work, instead of , Use AP for travel and EAD to work? This will be of great help to many people who are scared to use AP or not want to face the extra half hour at immigration counters.
Yes, that is how I am doing it. Although you lose the H4 status on the first day of work, legally speaking, you are admitted to the coutry (as an H4) instead of being "paroled" into the country (as an AP holder). Functionally, for an H4, there isnt much difference between the two but our lawyer says that being admitted versus paroled has different connotations in case there are ever removal proceedings initiated against you for any reason. That is why we insisted on having AP (for security) but using H visas for entry.

Everyone who supports this cause fit in to some category (within legal limits - pro, anti, this group, that lobby, this ethincity, that nationality, etc.), and that does not mean we are promoting something or have preferences for a group. In my opinion any support (with in the legal framework) to the cause of IV from any corner in this country is welcome and should be appreciated.

I agree with you 200%. This new change will severely cause further retrogression.
